Streaming Media Defender™

What does Streaming Media Defender do?

Security refined.

Streaming Media Defender operates differently than other security or encryption platforms.  Our methods and technology ensure accurate assessments may be made to determine if the consumer's access to a media stream is valid, secure, and protected.  We do so reliably and efficiently.  For those who use our technology with their video conferencing software, our system also ensures that unwanted "listeners" are not present during your secured meetings online.

Minimal information is collected from the media servers and the consumer's machine.  It is sent to a distributed neural computing grid for analysis.  If all is in order, the information is abandoned.  If a violation of the licensing or access restrictions is taking place, minimal information is recorded regarding the violation, and the media stream is terminated.  From that point, the consumer may (depending on the content providers desire) receive an informational video message indicating the reason for termination of the media stream.

We're ready to help!

The consumer may contact their media support center, as designated by the media server company.  Upon receiving the consumer's permission, the support technician may provide more detailed information on the nature / cause of the termination and what can be done to prevent further terminations.  In nearly every case, the shutting down of a known piracy application will solve the problem.

Your PC is still your PC!

Streaming Media Defender does not prohibit a consumer's machine from having or installing known piracy applications.  Their presence will not be detected unless they are used to attempt to record, reflect, or share media protected by Streaming Media Defender.  The Streaming Media Defender only prohibits threats during a protected broadcast, and only for that broadcast.

Turn it OFF!

In no case can Streaming Media Defender be utilized as spy-ware or exploited by malicious code to compromise the integrity of the consumer's PC or their privacy. Additionally, the consumer has complete control over the operation of the Streaming Media Player software. For example, on the Microsoft Windows operating system, using Windows Media Player to view content protected by Streaming Media Defender™;  at any time the consumer may stop our plug-in from running by using the Windows Media Player interface to regulate plug-ins.  The only consequence of not allowing the Streaming Media Defender plug-in to run while protected media is being consumed is that the media stream will be terminated.
